Does anyone know how to translate an english name to Sanskrit?Is there such things?

is there any website which I can go to so I can see the words in details.I thought of getting a tattoo of my daughter's name in Sanskrit.it would be something really special for me as she is my first child in my life and it would be nice to get something i could remember for the rest of my life as I am also a single mom.

There are alot of companies on the internet that will translate text for you. Most guarantee 100% accurancy and they don't charge a high fee. And at least this way you can make sure that your translation is correct.
Reply:it really matters on the sounds in the name and if there is a translation with the correct pronounciation in sanskrit. it's going to be a little difficult to find. If you know of any Indian temples, I guess you could ask one of the priests there because they speak sanskrit. But it's a dead language, so it's sort of hard. Can't you use a different language?
Reply:I don't think you can translate an english name to Sanskrit. Sanscrit is used to express ideas, not letters and sounds like our letters are. Unless you have a name like Heaven, or what not like that, where your name is also an idea, I don't think it can be done.
